Tips for Yoga Beginners

In this busy world stress and anxiety are a part and parcel of everyone’s life. If you want to overcome stress and anxiety and want to lead a healthy and peaceful life then yoga is your best option. Start practicing Yoga and make it a daily habit.

 

Yoga is a combination of physical poses, controlled breathing, and meditation. It not only reduces stress, lower blood pressure but is a complete exercise for the mind and body.

 

Yoga has many styles, forms and intensities. If you want to start Yoga follow below few tips which helps beginners.

 

 

Select few easy poses which you can do easily like sukhasana, shavasana and moutain pose.

 

 

Sukhasana is simple just like sitting with legs crossed and concentrating. Check out some videos on the best practices on how to do Sukhasana.

 

 

For Shavasana, lie down on your back on floor, set your arms and legs free and relax. Be in this position for 5 to 15 minutes and slowly get up to a seated position.

 

 

For Mountain pose, stand straight with your feet together and shoulders relaxed and take a deep breath and raise your hands up, palms facing each other. Stand in this pose for 2 minutes, relax and bring your hands down. Repeat.

 

 

 

Select convenient time and space

 

Your dedication is very important. Dedicate at least 20 to 30 minutes each day for yoga. Best time to do yoga are the

morning hours just after you wake up in the morning. However, based on your comfort, you can even do it in the evening.

Choose a place where you will not be disturbed.

 

 

 

Love your body, do not punish it

 

Do yoga poses gently with a smile on your face. Do not go beyond what your body can take.

 

 

Do yoga with your spouse or other family members

 

Doing this way gives you company so that you don’t get bored and also at the same time it helps to improve the other

person's health.
