Meditation techniques for Stress Relief

Our lives are full of demands from all fronts whether you are a professional, a home maker or even a student. Couple it with a fast-paced lifestyle and unhealthy eating habits, and you have the perfect concoction of a stressful life. Stress is an unavoidable part of our lives. But when stress becomes unbearable, it may damage your health and relationships. So, how can you reduce stress? Meditation is one of the best ways to combat stress. Wear comfortable clothes:

 

The first step is to be ready for meditation. Wear loose-fitting clothes and sit with crossed legs on floor or chair. Wear comfortable clothes with your clothes and sitting position while doing meditation.

 

 

Breathe slowly

 

Breathe slowly from your abdomen through your nose. Count one when you inhale and slowly exhale, count two on the next inhale.

 

 

Meditate in a secluded place:

 

Sit in a place which is airy and secluded and away from the daily hustle-bustle. There shouldn't be any distractions when you are learning to meditate to relieve from stress. It is good if you turn off your electronic devices.

 

 

Keep your eyes closed

 

Close your eyes and focus your concentration on your breath. And then slowly concentrate on what you can sense and hear. Repeat this process.
