Begin with 5-minute sessions, and when you're ready for more, slowly increase the meditation timing. Close your eyes and choose an open, warm and secluded place so there is no disturbance and you can concentrate more easily.
Do yoga or stretching before you start meditating, so that you prepare your body to sit in one position for long.
Set a timer for your meditation, so that you don't have to keep checking the clock.
By meditating at the same time every day you will develop a habit. If you don't fix a particular time for meditation in your routine then there are high chances of you forgetting to meditate. The ideal time is in the morning however, based on your schedule, you could fix a time for yourself.
Count one as you take first breath and continue till 10 and repeat. Concentrate on your breath as it comes in.
